Have you every completed a Microsoft Exam and wondered what this section is about?

This section is usually provided after the performance by exam section piece, what Microsoft are essentially doing here is providing you with some valuable knowledge.

  1. What does Opportunity for Improvement Mean?

This essentially means that compared to other candidates you could improve your skills in the areas outlined in the score report this essentially also means you could improve on your skills outlined in the exam.

  • What does Comparable Mean?

This essentially means that compared to other candidates your skills were on par and or same benchmark as other candidates who took this exam, and you scored like or like them this essentially means you can still improve your skillset in this area.

This essentially means that compared to other candidates your skills were of a high proficiency and you scored high in that section of the exam, no improvement required here.

Score Report Review and Analysis

So, what does the Bars Mean?

Very simple

  • Long bars are = to Strong Performance
  • Short bars are = to Weaker Performance

The higher the bar the better your performance in a section the lower the bar the weaker you are in that section. Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn’t provide you with a score per section simply an overall all score in my case for this exam it was 855/1000 give me a grade of 85.50% meaning I was top performer in the overall exam with a grade of at least a B Student, something to be proud of.

I’ve never scored in any about 900 so my exam results reflects a good sample of how I score overall I stand at a B Student across my associate and expert level certification alongside a C Student on my Fundamental certifications , its always important to know where you stand within each exam as it allows you to strengthen your abilities across technology stacks , I would always recommend candidates keeps an eye on these scores as they provide insight into your understanding and methodologies into multiple areas within the Technology sector , remember don’t over analyse your score as with all things it fluctuates across domains and changes with time , always celebrate the success stories and remember failure is part of the learning process as well.

Best wishes in your Certification Journey.
