Recap On Score’s
Each Microsoft exam has a scaled score of 1000, your required to get 700 to pass your exam this is the minimum requirement and scoring anything less will result in a Fail in your exam. Looking back on my journey I had some great scores and looking back I had some not great scores , I learned that there were areas for me and there were areas if I had to take the exam again now I would probably score better , this was the start of my Microsoft role based learning journey it provided me with some great learning experiences and showed me where I needed to work on areas , remember your fundamental learning journey is there to help set you up for success down the road with both associate and expert level certifications who knows you may even venture to specialty certification down the road as well.
Fundamentals provide every learner with a guide as to the skillset they have and the skillset they need to improve on as I reflect on the exams hers how they stood for me. Overall if we take 8 exams at a max scaled score of 1000 per exam with a max point allocation of 8000 total and my score total across all 8 exams were 5,454 that gave me a 77.74 Making me a C+ Student Overall not bad for learning the Fundamentals, and still, something to be proud of.
In the end of the day nobody asks you what score you get once you achieve 700 in the exam that’s good enough for Microsoft, but some advice on this to prospective learners , your grade needs to resemble where you stood at the time of learning , be authentic be genuine in your efforts , I didn’t score and A ,A+ B , B+ I only scored a C+ , I’m still proud of the result I would have liked to do better this is an authentic score of how your exams go.

What I took from my score analysis
Both CRM / ERP were two exams I had opportunities for improvement on I only took the CRM And ERP exams at the time as I worked with Dynamics under a helpdesk system, this led me to believe even though I scored well in both but required improvements they were not technology stacks I wanted to delve into further.
What I did learn was I need to improve my knowledge of 365 administration based on scoring comparable in the exam and so as the years went on, I did and in 2024 I gained my expert certification meaning it was my fundamental knowledge exams that helped me get a baseline understanding of where I stood and what I needed to improve.
I also learned I was comparable in most exams to candidates with similar scores, this led me to believe that my training and learning was on par with others and utilizing Microsoft platform and training days helped allot.
I also learned that I had three main strengths, Security AI & Office 365, I needed to continue to nourish these and focus on certifications that were around these technology stacks.
Bottom Line here remember your always learning so the fundamentals are key to understanding the different technology stacks within Microsoft Certification without these you don’t have a good foundation and you cannot build your house. I here allot of people saying don’t bother there not worth doing there a waste of time etc, that’s simply not the case, you wouldn’t build a house without a proper foundation so why discredit something that helps you build that foundation. Going down a certification path is like building, extending, and renovating a house you have got to have a good foundation, or everything comes down on you like a house of cards.
Remember your always learning.
Best wishes in your Fundamental Certification Journey.
