If you’re preparing for this exam, you’re going to want to utilise multiple resources. Microsoft offers multiple aids in this department, they offer the SC-300 learn certification pathway, Study Guides and Practice exams, alongside being able to enrol in instructor led training. The SC-300 is one of those exams where when you study for it you find yourself delving into the world of both active directory on premise and cloud azure active directory. My Overall Experience in this Exam
My overall experience based on the examination result I received after taking this exam overall I scored 750+ meaning I was on par with other Microsoft Certification candidates scoring comparable in the exam, this essential means and indicates allot of individuals Pass the exam but have similar results after taking this certification indicating its one of Microsoft’s more difficult associate level exams.
My two highest scoring areas were
- Implement an Identity Management Solution (30-35%)
- Implement an Authentication and Access Management Solution (25-30%)
My two lower scoring areas were
- Implement Access Management for Apps (10-15%)
- Plan and Implement an Identity Governance Strategy (25-30%)
This led me to believe that the exam I received was heavy overall on identity management across on premise and cloud infrastructure, for someone taking this exam I would highly recommend you become very proficient in securing identities across azure this means know your identity and access management concepts alongside having a strong understanding of access management across apps and governance across azure services. Spending time with the technologies utilising a lab based environment will allow you to better perform in this exam, careful consideration should be taken when in the exam to not confuse terminology.
